When
the car key is turned on in the ignition switch, the engine control unit (ECU) on the car will send a set of encrypted electronic coding signals to the chip in the car key. The car is allowed to start only when the car ECU unit can read the feedback and receive the correct anti-theft coding signal. Therefore, even a simple car key without any buttons can turn on and turn on the vehicle's anti-theft system through internal chip coding. Car keys with chips can only be programmed using special original matching equipment.
In the
car field, the chip is called magnetic coupling forwarding system. Magnetically coupled forwarding system is passive in nature. The chip itself does not need constant power supply, so it does not need to be powered on at all times. It only needs to pass through the electromagnetic wave range at the frequency of 125 kHz. Under the electromagnetic wave, the chip will produce its originally set coded signal, which is generally in the range of 1 cm to 15 cm. Since this is a radio frequency, it can penetrate the material so that the chip does not need to expose the appearance and can be made of plastic or rubber in the shape of a key head.
The working principle and process of key identification in most automobile anti-theft system chips are basically similar. When an automobile chip key is inserted into the ignition lock, turned to the "on" or "run" position, and the induction coil around the ignition lock is installed, an electromagnetic wave will be sent out. The winding radiates in the key chip, and the power of electromagnetic wave makes the electronic chip send out coding signal. The signal is usually an alphanumeric sequence, which is considered an identification code. Read the signal in the induction coil and send it to an ECU computer to identify the signal. If the signal is confirmed as a signal already in the ECU computer memory, it is accepted by the ECU computer, and other electronic components of the ECU controlled vehicle are set to the allowable execution state. At this time, the vehicle engine can run and start at will.
