As the car keys now integrate the remote control and the key, the batteries of the remote control need to be replaced after a period of use. Many friends may be unfamiliar with this. Now we are here to share this knowledge with you. In fact, when the key of our car is dead, we can do it by ourselves, loosen the screw of the remote control, and remove the back cover. You can see the battery inside. We can replace the new battery with the battery model. The most commonly used car key batteries are the following three types of models:
1. Button type CR2016 battery
This type of button battery has a very high use rate of car key remote control today, and is almost one of the most common car remote control batteries. The battery voltage of this type of battery is 3V. Generally, the car key battery is powered by 9V, so every time you change the battery, you need to replace all 3 batteries. For example, Guangben, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mazda and so on. The CR2016 model has a battery diameter of 20mm and a thickness of 1.6mm.
2. Button type CR2025 battery
This type of coin cell battery usage is much lower than CR2016. However, some individual car keys will still be used. The thickness is relatively thicker than 2016, but the storage capacity is relatively high. CR2025 specifications are: battery diameter is 20mm, thickness is 2.5mm. This type of battery is also more commonly used in audio remote controls.
3. Alkaline 12V battery
This 12V alkaline battery is mostly used in the early car key remote control and the store's roller shutter electric door. The earlier Honda and Toyota old key remote control have adopted this type of battery. The characteristics are small size, high output voltage, and remote control distance of the remote control.
Among the many failures that we encountered in remote control of car keys, 50% of the failures were caused by car key batteries. Generally, when replacing the remote control, replace the battery with a good quality as much as possible. Remote control for spare car key if not used for a long time. The batteries inside should be taken out to avoid being placed in high temperature places. Otherwise, in a certain high temperature environment, the electrolyte in the battery will leak to the circuit board over a long period of time, corroding the copper foil on the circuit board, causing the malfunction of the remote control of the car key.
